Take Care of Your Turf
In order to make the most of your artificial turf investment, maintenance is essential. Thankfully, artificial turf is low-maintenance by design and doesn’t require harsh chemicals or a lawn mower to maintain its appearance! We understand how important easy maintenance is for our customers and have made sure to offer the best products on the market to make maintenance a breeze. We have put together a few tips that will keep your turf looking its best.
Rinse with Water As Needed
One of the main benefits of synthetic turf is that it does not need to be watered. Synthetic turf is incredibly durable and is great for those looking for an evergreen landscape solution without the hefty water bill. However, if your turf appears a bit dull or is frequently used by pets, we recommend lightly spraying down your turf to rinse off any dust or dirt. No need to saturate the artificial turf – too much water will hinder your infill from doing its job!
Blow and Rake Away Debris
A plastic rake and a leaf blower are two incredibly useful tools for maintaining your artificial turf installation. To keep your lawn ready for entertaining, gently remove leaves and other debris as needed. We recommend using a plastic rake instead of a metal one, as a metal rake can ruin the infill and damage the turf blades. Talk to your project consultant to learn how to use your blower properly and the proper rake to be used.
Manage Pet Usage
Pets need a place to relieve themselves too, but pesky pet odors can become unpleasant. Thankfully, you can prevent lingering odors or stains easily! Simply spot-rinse the area that needs to be cleaned as needed. If the area is constantly over-watered, that will cause the smell to linger longer. The infill is designed to absorb the odor and be washed down as needed.
